IPO in Kazakhstan

On June 28—29, 2006 the 1st International Conference titled «IPO in Kazakhstan: problems and outlook» was held in Almaty. More 150 participants including the representatives of the official bodies, stock market professionals, representatives of local and foreign companies attended the conference. GRATA Law Firm was presented by Mr. Aidar Sarymsakov, a Managing Partner at the Firm, who took active part in the event.

The objective of the Conference was attracting attention of the professional community to the most topical problems of the Kazakhstan stock market; elaborating optimal decisions for its actors; discussing ideas and working out the strategy of the development of the stock market of the Republic of Kazakhstan; and the proposals on legislation's reforms in the sphere of financial markets.

The participants of the Conference marked the actuality and the importance of the given event. The organization of the Conference became a significant event not for market specialists, eminents and investors only, but for the official bodies, too.
