GRATA conducted a one-day conference entitled "Subsoil users’ in Kazakhstan"
On March 27, 2009 a one-day conference entitled "Subsoil users’ in Kazakhstan" was held in the Business Center “Old Square” in Almaty, Kazakhstan. The conference was organized by “GRATA” Law Firm.



The conference attracted the attention of both Kazakh executives and representatives of foreign companies. The representatives from local and foreign banks, companies working in the oil and gas, mining, and logistics spheres, insurance companies, and several leading consulting and law firms were among the participants.







The conference was moderated by Mr.Tlek Baigabulov, Senior Partner of “GRATA” Law Firm and Mr.Almat Daumov, Partner, Head of Tax Law Department at “GRATA” Law Firm.

The agenda was focused on familiarizing the participants with the practical issues within the realization of subsoil use activity in Kazakhstan and Draft of New Subsoil Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan, environmental issues of subsoil users, subsoil user’s taxation, transfer pricing and local (Kazakhstani) content.

The level of interest on the conference demonstrated the necessity of the business society in this timely organized event.
