Joint Seminar “International Arbitration – The Best Alternative of Disputes Resolution”On February 17, 2009 a seminar entitled «International Arbitration – The Best Alternative of Disputes Resolution» was held in the Business Center “Old Square” in Almaty, Kazakhstan.

The seminar was jointly organized by the International Law Firm «Lawrence Graham» and “GRATA” Law Firm.

The seminar attracted the attention of both Kazakh executives and representatives of foreign companies. The representatives from local and foreign banks, companies working in the oil and gas, mining, and logistics spheres, insurance companies, and several leading consulting and law firms were among the participants.







The seminar was moderated by Mr.Tlek Baigabulov, Senior Partner “GRATA” Law Firm and Mr.Duncan Gray, Senior Consultant at Lawrence Graham.
Rashid Gaissin, Managing Partner at GRATA, Duncan Gray, Senior Consultant at Lawrence Graham and Jean-Pierre Douglas-Henry, Partner at Lawrence Graham was the speakers of the seminar.





The agenda was focused on familiarizing the participants with the main issues of arbitral disputes and providing the information regarding the execution of arbitral decisions in Kazakhstan and the difference among applicable arbitral rules.
