Kazakhstan—Brazil: new business opportunities

On 21 October 2005 in the Hyatt Hotel, Almaty a trade-economic conference was held entitled «Kazakhstan-Brazil: opportunities for cooperation and enhancement of business relations». The event was part of the official visit of the Brazil business delegation.

The aim of the visit and of the Conference in particular, was establishing contacts between Kazakhstani and Brazilian entrepreneurs.

The conference attracted the attention of both Kazakh executives and representatives of foreign companies running their business in Kazakhstan. Participants included officials of the Ministry and the Departments of Foreign Affairs of Brazil, representatives of leading Brazilian banks and industrial enterprises. The Kazakhstani participants included representatives of business circles, officials of the Foreign Affairs Departments and the Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Kazakhstan. In total, fifty companies were represented.

A Partner of GRATA Law Firm, Mr. Daniyar Koshenov, took part in the conference. During the conference new business contacts with the representatives of the biggest Brazilian companies were established.
