Law Society of England & Wales introduces GRATA as independent Kazakh legal practiceThe Law Society of England and Wales held a roundtable discussion on business opportunities in Kazakhstan on September 25th. The event was attended by the representatives of London law firms, members of the Law Society.
 
The idea behind the event was to give English lawyers chance to learn more about business opportunities and the legal services market in Kazakhstan from local law firms and lawyers operating there.
 
The significance of this event was that it was a first occasion when Law society of England & Wales introduced GRATA as an independent Kazakh legal practice to its members, legal practices and practitioners in England.

The discussion was chaired by Trevor Barton, Senior Vice President and Managing Director of the PBN Company Limited.

Aliya Aralbayeva, Head of the London Representative Office made a presentation on the Opportunities of cooperation between English and Kazakh legal practices. Aliya focused her presentation on the opportunities and pitfalls of the legal system and legal market in Kazakhstan in comparison to the markets in the region and the CIS.
