Due to the transfer of the capital from Almaty to Astana, GRATA International opened its office in Astana in 1998, when many representative offices of large foreign and multinational companies, international organisations and head offices of domestic companies started actively to move to a new capital city.
Astana today is not only the capital of Kazakhstan, but also a new fastest growing international business and cultural centre in the heart of Eurasia. Every year Astana is increasingly attracting foreign investors and large foreign companies.
The main economy sectors of the capital are trade, transport and communications, and construction. The industrial sector of the city is mostly represented by enterprises of machine building, production of construction materials and food. Astana is a leader by the rates of construction in Kazakhstan. Currently, new administrative, residential, commercial, hotel and leisure facilities, as well as infrastructure facilities - roads, bridges and transport connections, are actively built.
To encourage investments and accelerated construction of a new administrative and business centre in Astana, a special economic zone 'Astana - New City' has been created.
Astana office of GRATA International is located on the left bank - in the administrative and business centre, which combines the residence of the President, Parliament, Government, ministries and departments, representatives of large international and Kazakhstani companies, as well as foreign embassies, and centres of business cooperation.
