On October 7—8, 2004, the international practical conference entitled «Problems and prospects of development of pipeline transportation in the Republic of Kazakhstan» was held in Almaty. It was organized within the framework of the 12th international exhibition KIOGE-2004 by the engineering company «Kazgiproneftetrans» together with the National Company «KazTransOil».
State authorities, leading specialists in the oil transportation area, the representatives of scientific research institutions, design, construction and consulting companies from Kazakhstan, Russia, the Ukraine, as well as from the Netherlands, Israel, Canada, the UK, the USA etc. participated in the conference.
Mrs. Gulzhan Nurakhmet, a GRATA`s lawyer took active part in the event, too. She spoke on «Legal provisions governing pipeline construction in Kazakhstan» at the conference. The speech attracted much attention and was marked by the Chairman of the Session of the conference as a bright and actual material.
Trends on solving current problems, technical decisions on reconstruction and modernization of the existing pipelines and on construction of new ones taking into account the international experience and progressive technologies were elaborated at the conference.
