BISNIS, the U. S. Commercial Service Almaty and the American Chamber of Commerce in Kazakhstan organized the event in Almaty, Kazakhstan for U. S. companies and distributors of U. S. goods & services on business opportunities in Central Asia. The market briefing took place in the Ballroom of the HYATT REGENCY ALMATY hotel.
The event attracted much attention and gave the opportunity to hear and meet in one place: U. S. Department of Commerces Deputy Assistant Secretary Eric Stewart, U. S. Commercial Services Senior Commercial Officer Mitchell Auerbach, The American Chamber of Commerce in Kazakhstans President Martin Quirke, BISNISs Deputy Director Philip de Leon, The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) Director Andre Kuusvek', Asian Development Bank (ADB) Country Director Kazakhstan Resident Mission Kazuhiko Higuchi, and many more. The speakers made presentations, followed by questions & answers. After lunch, the event was followed by one-on-one meetings with the speakers, enabling the participants to discuss their projects, ideas, questions, etc. with each speaker separately.
