On June, 14, 2005 a conference entitled «Developments and Trends in International Commercial Arbitration in Kazakhstan was held in the Hyatt Regency Almaty Hotel in Almaty, Kazakhstan.
The conference was organized by Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, an international law firm, in conjunction with GRATA Law firm.
The conference attracted the attention of both Kazakh executives and representatives of foreign companies. Participants included Kazakhstani banks (Alliance Bank, Temirbank, Bank CenterCredit), companies working in the oil and gas, mining, and logistics spheres (Shell Kazakhstan Development B. V., Koljan Oil, Shlumberger Logelco, KazPhosphat, RWSK, Panalpina and others) and several leading consultancy and law firms.
