On Jule 15, 2005 the Business Forum entitled «Kazakhstan-CPR — the prospects of economic cooperation» was organized in the «Okan Intercontinental» Hotel, in Astana. The even was held in the framework of the official visit of the Vice-Premier of the State Council of the Chinese People? s Republic Mrs. Wu Yi. The forum was organized with the support of the KazInvest, the investment promotion agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Participants of the Forum included representatives of over 50 Chinese companies, which formed the business delegation of China and were interested in expanding the market and looking for new partners from Kazakhstan; officials from Ministries and Departments from both countries; business representatives of the local companies. GRATA Law Firm took part at the Forum as well: Sofiya Zhylkaidarova, Partner, Gulmira Tulenbekova, Partner and Nurlan Kassymov, Senior Lawyer of the firm attended the event.

The agenda of the Forum was focused on monitoring the opportunities for the beneficial cooperation of business circles of the both states; on discussing the achieved results and on strengthening bilateral economic relations.

On completion of the Forum bilateral meetings for the participants were held.
