On 20 October 2005, Mr. Zafar Malikov, a Partner of GRATA Law Firm, was appointed Coordinator of the Branch offices GRATA-BAKU (Azerbaijan), GRATA-BISHKEK (Kyrgyzstan) and GRATA-TASHKENT (Uzbekistan).

Before the appointment Zafar Malikov was Regional Manager of GRATA-TASHKENT. His managerial skills, dedication to the development of the firm and efforts to enhance GRATA's client services have been recognized in this prestigious appointment.

Zafar Malikov received his Law Degree from the Tashkent State Law Institute and holds an LLM from the Central European University, Budapest, Hungary.

Zafar specializes in areas such as natural resources, corporate law, financial law, and regulation of investment activity. He participates in all projects of strategic importance carried out by GRATA`s clients in the above-mentioned jurisdictions.

He is a Member of the Uzbekistan Bar Association, and of Marques — a London-based organization of owners and professional consultants in intellectual property. Since 2000, Zafar has been a member of the Tashkent Bar.
