On June 2, 2006 a business forum of the Georgian and Kazakhstan business circles was held at the Rixos President Hotel in Astana. The forum was organized in the frame of the official visit of the Prime-Minister of Georgia, Mr. Z. Nogaideli to Kazakhstan.

The event attracted much attention of both countries: officials, heads and specialists of industrial, trade and consulting companies attended the Forum.

Mr. Massimov, the Minister of Economy and Budget Planning of the RK, the Prime-Minister of Georgia Mr. Nogaideli, the Minister of economic development of Georgia Mr. Chogovadze, the Energy Minister of Georgia Mr. Gipauri and other Georgian and Kazakhstan representatives spoke at the Forum.

Georgia showed interest in developing of economic cooperation between our countries. It's quite interested in foreign investments and is appealing as a tourist country.

The Forum passed in an animated manner: the participants exchanged contacts, discussed the process of implementation of the present joint projects and the arising possibilities in realizing new projects in the future.

Mrs. Botagoz Aliakbarova, GRATA-ASTANA Lawyer represented GRATA Law Firm at the Forum. During the forum Botagoz established new business contacts with the representatives of the Georgian side. The Georgian companies showed interest in the services rendered by GRATA in the Region and its potential of rendering legal services in Georgia.
