On 24 October 2006, the US Embassy in Kazakhstan held a trade fair to showcase North Dakota exhibitors in the KazAgroProdExpo exhibition in Astana.

US participants were manufacturers selling agricultural and construction equipment, raking and belt type pickups, industrial companies with a full range of industrial recycling equipment. The Kazakh delegation consisted of representatives of the Kazakhstan Ministry of Agriculture, agricultural companies and consulting firms.

GRATA Law Firm was kindly invited to speak at the round table talks on business legalization via the registration of either branch or representative offices in Kazakhstan, how to obtain a work permit and customs procedures. The GRATA speaker was Botagoz Aliakbarova, a Lawyer based in GRATA's Astana office. After her presentation, Botagoz talked with the US participants and answered the many pressing questions the American exhibitors had for him.
