GRATA Law Firm: Kazakhstan-UAE Business Council

In order to fulfill the mission of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan N.A.Nazarbayev, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan (later CCI RK) jointly with the Federation of the Chambers of Commerce and Industry of the United Arabian Emirates (later FCCI UAE) created the Kazakhstan-UAE Business Council. For this purpose from the 1 - 5 March 2008 CCI RK held the trade and economic mission of Kazakhstan entrepreneurs in the UAE with the President of CCI RK Yerlan Kozhasbayev.

A memorandum regarding the mutual understanding and creation of Kazakhstan-UAE Business Council was signed during the visit. Moreover, an Agreement about conducting the First session of Kazakhstan-UAE Business Council in Kazakhstan and a visit of the Emirates Business delegation was agreed during the meeting of President of CCI RK Y. Kozhasbai with the General Secretary of FCCI UAE Salem ash-Shamisi. The Kazakhstan business delegation was attended by four representatives from the Emirates: Abu-Dabi, Dubai, Sharjah and Ras al-Khaim.
The Kazakhstan delegation consisted of state authorities and entities, representatives from industrial and service companies, consulting firms. Aidar Sarymsakov, Senior Partner at GRATA participated in this event.

Kazakhstan delegation familiarized with the work experience of free economic zone Ras al-Khaim. During the visit direct contacts with the UAE entrepreneurs were established.
