Timur Yuldabayev, Lawyer, “Natural Resources” Department at GRATA Law firm took part in the Professional Excellence Programme «International Trading in Crude and Petroleum Products. Trading Process Support. Export Product Storage and Quality», which was held on 17-21 March 2008 in Intercontinental Hotel, “Abai” conference hall, Almaty, Kazakhstan. The course was organized by British Consulting Company «Confidence Energy».

Topics of the programme involved an overview of the international energy markets relevant for producers, refiners and exporters in the Caspian region, interaction between trading and operations, negotiating and contracting – and the key aspects of a physical deal. Moreover, such issues as document processing, contract procedures, logistics and calculating costs, working with brokers and tanker operators, inspections and quality requirements, port inspections and maintaining product quality in storage and transit were discussed in the course.
Oil traders, operation managers, front, middle and back office specialists, logistic specialist (ports, terminals and storage facility operators), refinery managers and specialists, directors and commercial directors of exporting companies attended this event.

While attending the course, the participants were able to exchange their effective strategies and practical experiences.
