GRATA International acted as legal consultant to the private partner in the landmark first-of-its kind PPP project in the Kyrgyz Republic

On 15 of August, the Ministry of Health signed a landmark public-private partnership (PPP) agreement with Germany company, Fresenius Medical Care. Elvira Maratova, Counsel of Grata International, attended this official signing ceremony as a legal consultant of the private partner. Fresenius Medical Care Deutschland GmbH (Germany) is the world's leading provider of products and services for patients with chronic kidney failure.

As part of its obligations under the PPP agreement, Fresenius Medical Care Deutschland GmbH undertook to ensure the establishment of dialysis centers, import, operation and maintenance of equipment, training of personnel of public hemodialysis units and provision of dialysis services to patients with chronic kidney failure in the Kyrgyz Republic.

This project is realized with the help of IFC and supported by several development organizations, such as KfW, which is acting on behalf of the German Development Ministry and the governments of Austria, Hungary and Switzerland.
