Education

Aliya Aralbayeva is a Kazakh qualified lawyer. She is a Director of GRATA’s Representative Office in the United Kingdom.

Aliya graduated from the Kazakh State Law University in 1999 with a distinction. In 2002 she obtained a Master’s Degree in Law (LLM) from City University, London. In 2006 she was awarded the Graduate Diploma in Law (GDL) from BPP Law School, a leading UK law school and GDL provider.

Aliya regularly participates in legal conferences and seminars in the United Kingdom and Kazakhstan and is a member of a number of legal groups and organisations.

Experience

Aliya is a Senior Associate at GRATA Law Firm.

She has three and a half years of experience working in corporate finance group of a top ten UK law firm, and more than 6 years of experience advising as Kazakh Lawyer.

Since starting her legal career, Aliya advised on a number of cross-border multi-jurisdictional transactions, involving equity and debt investments, fundraisings, and corporate acquisitions and disposals with focus on the CIS and Central Asia.
