 Education Vakhid received his law degree from the University of World Economy and Diplomacy in Uzbekistan in 1996. He obtained his LLM degree from the University of Georgia School of Law in 1997. Vakhid also studied at the University of West England in 1998. Experience Vakhid is the Head of Practice of GRATA’ Azerbaijan office with more than 10 years of legal experience gained in several countries of former Soviet Union. Prior to joining GRATA Vakhid had worked in London for Central European Media Enterprises Ltd., a NASDAQ listed media holding company as a Counsel managing legal matters related to the company's investments and operations in Ukraine. Previously Vakhid worked at Baker & McKenzie and as a Legal Advisor for a holding company of Alfa Group, one of the largest Russian consortiums in several former Soviet Union countries. He has extensive experience advising clients on corporate, commercial and regulatory (telecommunication and broadcasting) legal matters in Azerbaijan, Russia, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan. |
