Nurlan Kyshtobaev is a Partner and a Head of Banking & Finance practice at GRATA International Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan. He also focuses on general corporate and infrastructure projects, including real estate. Mr Kyshtobaev has an extensive experience with leading American law firms and an international financial institution based in London. His main practice areas are general corporate matters, including mining, capital markets, and banking & finance.
Prior joining GRATA International, Nurlan was an associate in the Office of the General Counsel of EBRD, where he advised bankers on lending, including direct investments in the EBRD countries of operation (CEE, CIS, Turkey and Mongolia) across different sectors (hydro energy, mining, transport, pharmacy, telecommunication and retail) and types of borrowers (sovereign, quasi-sovereign, financial institutions, private companies).
Mr Kyshtobaev also worked for the two American law firms; Chadbourne & Parke and Latham & Watkins. While being with those law firms, Nurlan was a part of various legal teams advising clients on a broad range of Russian law matters.

On 11 December 2018, Nurlan Kyshtobaev, partner of Bishkek office of GRATA International (Kyrgyzstan) conducted a guest lecture to students of the International Business Law Department of the American University of Central Asia. He spoke about investment and concession agreements and shared his expertise in the area.

On 30 November 2017 in Bishkek GRATA International organised a practical seminar: Roadmap to Profitable Small Hydro Power Plant Development, together with international engineering firm ILF Consulting Engineers.
On November 28th, 2017 Nurlan Kyshtobaev, partner of GRATA International Bishkek office conducted a guest lecture on “concession agreements” and “how law firms operate”. The lecture was read to the students of International Business Law department of the American University of Central Asia (AUCA) within the course “Investment Law and Sustainable Development”. Earlier this year, GRATA International in Bishkek signed a MoU with AUCA on cooperation.
On 26 August 2016, GRATA International team took part in a working experience exchange meeting of the National Business Council of Shanghai Cooperation Organisation.

On February 8, 2016 Mr. Nurlan Kyshtobaev, Partner of GRATA International, participated in presentation of IFC survey on Islamic banking: "Islamic Banking: Opportunities in the segment of micro, small and medium-sized enterprises in the Kyrgyz Republic."
In 6th May 2015 the Parliament of the Kyrgyz Republic adopted the Law "On Amendments to the Law of the Kyrgyz Republic on the state regulation on foreign trade activity" dated from 10 June 2015 № 128.
On December 5, 2013 in Bishkek a business forum was held involving Kyrgyz and Turkish businessmen and companies operating in the field of textiles and light industry.
