Gulnur has over 16 years of experience in Kazakhstani legal services market. She has started her career in 1999 in Astana Bar association as Qualified Advocate. Later she worked for Kazakhstan Government in the Ministry of taxes and participated in drafting first tax Code of Kazakhstan.
Prior to joining GRATA Law Firm, she worked more than 10 years as an in-house (later head of Legal Department) in National Welfare Fund "Samruk-Kazyna" Group.
Samruk –Kazyna manage the shares of the State-Owned Enterprises in oil and gaz, metallurgical, nuclear, telecommunication, transport sectors, such as KazMunayGas, Kazatomprom, Kazakhtelecom, Kazakhstan Railway, KazPost, Air Astana, Kazakhstan Electricity Grid Operating Company (KEGOC), Samruk-Energy.
Gulnur focuses her practice on Corporate Law, M&A, Construction, Litigation，Labor law.
She has extensive experience in advising Chinese Companies such as China Railway Construction, China National Technical Import & Export Corporation, CITIC Construction etc, in Kazakh corporate law, construction activities and M&A transactions.
She started her career in Akmola Regional Bar, further Gulnur worked in the legal department at the Ministry of Public Revenues of the Republic of Kazakhstan, in the legal services department at KMG-Consulting JSC, in the internal audit service at Kaztransoil CJSC.
Gulnur also held managing positions as a head of department at Kazakhstani Contract Agency, Samruk holding, Tau Ken Samruk National Mining Company, and as a general director at Kazakh-Korean Company.
While working in the Ministry of Public Revenues, Gulnur took part in the development group for the Tax Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan focused on amendments to legal acts due to the Tax Code adoption and on systematisation of tax laws.
