In 2006 Zhibek graduated the faculty of International Law of Kazakhstani Humanitarian Law University with distinction; was included to Altyn Kytap, the honorable book of best students of the University. As a recipient of Bolashak, the presidential scholarship, in 2008 she is graduating from Queen Mary University, University of London with Masters Degree (LLM) in International Business Law with the focus on international commercial arbitration, international merger control and international finance.
Zhibek participated at various conferences, seminars, forums in Kazakhstan, Russia, Italy, USA and UK related to issues of corporate, environmental and subsoil use law, international public law, international commercial and investment arbitration.
Zhibek speaks Kazakh, Russian and English, learns French.
Experience
Zhibek is a representative of GRATA law firm in the United Kingdom, London office. She has experience in corporate, environmental and subsoil use law.
As a lawyer of the Environmental law Department of GRATA law firm (Almaty, Kazakhstan), Zhibek advised clients on novelties of new environmental legislation, took part in amending the draft Environmental Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan, assisted in litigation disputes related to environmental law issues, performed a number of environmental due diligence procedures, advised on acquiring environmental licenses and permits.
Prior joining GRATA Zhibek worked in corporate law department of Bracewell&Giulliani, L.L.P. law firm.
