Education

Farhad is the Partner of the Baku office of GRATA and has more than 10 years of legal experience at both international and local levels.

Farhad graduated from the Azerbaijan Private University in 1996 with a bachelor's degree in international economics. He then received his bachelor?s degree in law in 1997. He also has a PhD in IP law, which he received in December 2004.

Farhad has published articles on IP and banking law.

Experience

Farhad has unique expertise in various legal fields, including, but not limited to, intellectual property, project and corporate financing, corporate due diligence, oil and gas, telecommunications, privatisation, investments and contracts law.

Moreover, he gained an invaluable experience in representing the clients in negotiations with its business counterparts and different government agencies (e.g. Cabinet of Ministers, ministries, state committees, state funds etc.) when acting as an in-house counsel to Azercell Telecom  J. V. and Binagadi Oil.
