Reception by Kazakh Embassy in UK on 15 December 2003Reception by Kazakh Embassy in UK on 15 December 2003Kazakh Embassy in UK hosted a reception in a luxurious London Carlton Tower hotel to celebrate the 12th anniversary of Kazakhstan's independence. His Excellency Ambassador Mr. Idrissov has addressed the audience with a brief speech highlighting main events for Kazakhstan in 2003. He especially mentioned the growing co-operation between Kazakh and British businesses referring to the new direct flight from London Heathrow to Almaty by Air Astana, the joint venture between Kazakh Government and BAE Systems of UK. The guests included many Kazakhs working and living in London, representatives of diplomatic missions, various companies working in the region including Agip KCO, British Gas, Petro-Kazakhstan, EBRD etc. The Embassy kindly gave an opportunity to Kazakh companies present in the UK to demonstrate materials about their activities.
