In realization of “GRATA’s veterans” programme, the first meeting was held on 21 June 2007 in “Persona GRATA” cafe. Almost 50 veterans of “GRATA” Law Firm attended the event.

The event was attended by even those people who took part in foundation of the firm. They are Yermek Aleyev, Sofiya Zhylkaidarova, Abylkhayir Nakipov, Daniyar Koshenov, Damir Kulumbetov, Zhanna Azhibayeva, Zaure Urazgulova, Aizhan Shakizada, etc.

It was a big pleasure to see career growth of our ex-staff. Most of them occupied leading positions in enterprises of kazakhstani industry, state agencies and the leading foreign companies such as PetroKazakhstan, KIMEP, National Bank of Kazakhstan, World Bank and etc,. Moreover, GRATA’ s partners, who worked in a firm from 1992 till 2006, created a new business today and become the heads of law firms.

The meeting was initiated and organized by Senior Partners of GRATA. GRATA’s veterans were very glad to see their previous “teachers” and colleagues. Tlek Baigabulov performed with his brief opening speech that gave a friendly tune to the entire event. Also, all participants were happy to hear curiously bright performance of Akhmedzhan Abdullayev and Aidar Sarymsakov, where they remembered beginning of work in GRATA with a great pleasure and all levels which GRATA had passed.

It is very important to mark the warm atmosphere of this event, the meeting was held in informal environment – it was a great possibility to meet with old friends and colleagues, relax, communicate and remember past times, to talk about future plans and discuss business issues. All participants did like the idea of event conducting and all decided to continue this tradition in future. We hope that success of conducting annual meetings of GRATA’s veterans regularly is the major evidence that the most valuable thing for GRATA is the staff of the company.
