Atlantic Council Conference “Twenty Years of Kazakhstan Independence and US-Kazakhstan Relations”, 31 January 2011, Washington, DC

On 31st of January 2012, GRATA Law Firm has participated in the Atlantic Council Conference entitled “Twenty Years of Kazakhstan Independence and US-Kazakhstan Relations” in Washington, DC. 

The conference took place in the context of two twentieth anniversaries –  Kazakhstan’s independence and establishment of US-Kazakhstan relations.

Kazakhstan’s Foreign Minister Yerzhan Kazykhanov delivered a keynote address focusing on nation building and Kazakhstan’s strategic partnership with the United States.   

In the speech, Assistant Secretary of State Robert Blake was effusive in his support of Kazakhstan. He explained how important an ally Kazakhstan is to the U.S. and the West and said our bilateral relationship is “dynamic and growing.”

The conference was attended by Kazakhstan diplomats, US state officials and the executives of major U.S. companies with a presence in Kazakhstan - IBM, Сhevron, ConocoPhilips, Sikorsky Aircraft, Exxon Mobil, Eni Petroleum, Shell, FedEx, Boeing, PFC Energy, Asia-Africa Projects Group, AGCO Corporation, CRDF Global.
