Kazakhstan Islamic Finance Conference (KIFC 2011) will take place on 14-15 March, 2011 in Astana, Radisson SAS Hotel.

KIFC 2011 aims at enhancing the investment activity in Kazakhstan and creating a favorable investment climate in the region.

Objectives:

  • Discussion of issues pertaining to enhancement of the legislative basis for development of Islamic finance;
  • Promotion of the Islamic stock exchange, including securities, asset management, investment funds and issuance of certificates of participation – sukuk – as a tool for boosting investment activities at sovereign and corporate levels;
  • Examination of issues related to issuance of Islamic financial securities – sukuk;
  • Examination of regulation mechanisms, licensing and auditing procedures and risk management during issuance of sukuk;
  • Stimulation of investment activity and attraction of investments to Kazakhstan’s economy.
