KBTU Conference

On March 24-25, 2004 the International working Conference on «Current problems and strategic decisions in the system of higher education and personnel training for the oil & gas sector in the Republic of Kazakhstan» was held in Almaty.

The event was organized by the Kazakhstan-British Technical University and Cairns Limited company.

This conference attracted much attention of eminent scholars, heads of national and foreign companies, representatives of state bodies. GRATA Law Firm took part in the conference, too. Ms. Assel Amanova, a lawyer specializing in the oil & gas area, was invited to participate there.

The agenda of the conference was focused on the issues of personnel training for oil companies, the improvement of the current educational database in Kazakhstan. The representatives of foreign companies emphasized the importance of studying English language.

At the end of the conference the KBTU was acknowledged the best university on students' preparedness and teaching staff.
