Partner GRATA International has been elected to the Executive Team of EUROBAK Tax Committee

We are glad to share that Partner GRATA International Assel Ilyassova has been elected to the Executive Team of EUROBAK TAX Committee for 2024-2025. 

As EUROBAK states, the Tax Committee provides members with the possibility to exchange information regarding tax issues and problems they face doing business in Kazakhstan. The Committee addresses the most critical issues faced by the EUROBAK members in the sphere of taxation and works to communicate its concerns/ideas/observations to the relevant authorities and seeks resolution of the issues raised. 

Other executive team members include: 

• Lolita Zakirova, Co-Chairperson of the TAX Executive team,  Director Axisa
• Doniyorbek Zulunov, Co-Chairperson of the TAX Executive team, Partner EY Kazakhstan (Tax & Law)
• Aigul Zhumanbayeva, Head of Tax Department KaR-Tel 

The elected executive team will operate for one year until April 2025. This year the committee will focus on the following matters: 

• Desk tax control 
• Transfer pricing 
• Administrative procedural code
• Participation in meetings on the Tax Code of Kazakhstan
• MLI, tax increases and innovations
• Tax accounting in legislation in relation to the business tourism development industry
